I saw a back-to-school ad today… and almost started crying.
While this does mean the end of empty schedules and full-of-sunshine skies, I must say I’m so pumped for this school year. New school years mean new everything. For me this means a new flat, new courses, new committees, new flatmates, new notebooks aaaaaand (most importantly) a new gymbag. What’s not to be totally excited about?
I have an internship doing marketing for my school’s gym (it’s a marriage of all my passions) and figured I’d need to be spending time in my new workplace in style. Here’s what’s on the agenda:
1. The Bag
Perhaps the most important part. This bag is what you’ll be seen with strutting down the middle of campus before that treadmill class (and after…). But should also be functional. Here are some that I’m craving:
2. The Bottle
Hydration! If there were a counter of all the words on this blog, I’m quite sure hydration would be near the top. If you’re going to be sipping from it all day, your water bottle might as well be complimentary to your outfit, right?
3. The Apparel
There are literally blogs dedicated just to this (along with 50% of my paycheck): atheltic-wear. I am a solid believer that one can never have too many sports bras. Or running leggings. Or athletic sweater. Or… okay, you get it.
4. The Shoes
I am such a fan of the sneaker trend that happening in street-style but remember, not all kicks were created equal. So before you head out for a colour 5k, make sure you’re running in proper shoes. Here are some that are both good for your feet, knees and eyes:
5. The Tech-stuff
Now a days you’ll hardly ever see anyone at a gym without someeee sort of technology; whether it’s a phone, earphones or fancy tracker. I promise I’ll make a post in the future dedicated to just this but for now, here are my must-haves:
6. The Other Thingies
While we’ve covered the basics, there’s usually always something random I throw in my bag; a “just in case” sort of thing. From hair wigs-ties to plastic perfume (I don’t want any glass shattering in my thrown-around bag, thanks), here are some little extras:
What do you never take out of your gymbag?
Also, what kind of posts would you like to see???
Any sports you’ve always wondered about or fitness trends you don’t understand?
