5 Step 5 Minute £5 Salmon Salad

salmon-salad-header

I’ll be the first to admit I’m no cook.

As in: I just learned how to cook salmon last month. (I’m a little embarrassed but hey, better late than never?).

Not only am I a huge fan quick easy and healthy recipes but if they also don’t break the bank? I’m in love.

I’ve been really into salmon recently (omega 3’s, what up?!) and salads. They’re kinda the perfect healthy combination for lunches or light dinners. I may or may not be eating this very salmon salad as we speak/I type.

Hold onto your hats because I’m about tell you how to make a restaurant worthy salmon salad in 5 minutes for £5 with only 5 steps. Yeah.

Salmon-salad

Ingredients:

Pre-packaged serving of salad (these are such time savers and are generally £1 and come with tomatoes and carrots already in there)

Saucy Fish Co Salmon Fillets (SUCH a great company; it comes with a perfectly paired sauce that happens to be a great salad dressing)

Steps: (there are ONLY 5!!!)

  1. Open Salad and put in bowl
  2. Coat salmon in 1/3 of sauce
  3. Cook salmon (literally any way you want)
  4. Cut up salmon
  5. Place salmon in salad and use other 2/3 of sauce

That’s it! Really, that’s all there is to it.

This is a super healthy meal because salmon is awesome and salad is good for you. Not convinced? Salmon has omega 3 fats which are good for heart, bone and joints. The omega 3 in salmon is also special because its something your body can’t make; you have to ingest it through your diet. Salad is also has fibre and all the general goodness of vegetables.

Let me know what you think!

What’s your quick go-to food? How’d you like this recipe?
